Sir David Harrison

The Harrison Foundation is proud to announce that our founder, David Harrison, has been Knighted.

Sir David was awarded the Knight Grand Cross of The Most Distinguished Order of The Nation for his services to business, education and social mobility. The honour was made as part of the Antiguan and Barbuda Independence celebrations.

Sir David has spent over four decades building successful businesses and supporting communities. Since 2007, he has led the North East based financial services and technology firm, True Potential. The firm now employs over 400 people and works with a fifth of UK financial advisers.

In addition to his business successes, Sir David has been a consistent champion of education and social mobility. Having set up four Harrison Centres for Social Mobility in the UK, he is working on the fifth Centre in Antigua, the first to be established overseas.

This Knighthood follows Sir David receiving an honorary Doctorate from the Open University in October. Through the free personal finance courses that Sir David helped to create with the OU, over one million people have improved their understanding of finance and investing to date.

Our congratulations to Sir David on this well-deserved honour.
