Helping with food parcels in Antigua
The Harrison Foundation has donated $25,000 to the Jumby Bay Fund to help with their efforts in supplying the people of Antigua with more than 22,000 food parcels.
As a country heavily reliant on tourism, Antigua has suffered heavily during this years Covid-19 pandemic, with thousands of their residents unable to work or earn meaningful income. The Jumby Bay Fund has stepped in with their support, supplying more than 400 tonnes of food which equates to 621,936 days of food donated to the Antiguan people.
As long time supporters of the Jumby Bay Fund and the Antiguan community, The Harrison Foundation was delighted to help make a difference with this donation. Chairman David Harrison said:
“Our family are long term friends of the Antiguan people and it was a privilege to be able to help so many of them during this difficult time. Our thanks to all of the wonderful team at the Jumby Bay Fund for organising such a wonderful initiative.”
